COMMUNITY UNITED PANTRY

The Community United Pantry is under the umbrella of the Carterville Ministerial Alliance. Crainville Baptist Church is a member of the Ministerial Alliance.

The pantry hours are Monday-Friday 9am till noon.

The three main priorities of C.U.P. is to:

1. Provide food to those in need.

2. Provide basic necessities, such as clothing and small household items, at a low cost, or in cases of disaster, free of charge.

3. Provide opportunities for volunteers to serve as well as churches within our community to collaborate and serve together.

Area churches provide the volunteers to work each month to organize donations for resale onsite. Those items are distributed as needed, or sold to generate revenue to sustain the pantry.

Crainville Baptist Church along with fellow area churches, have volunteer members who make monthly deliveries of boxes of pantry staples, frozen foods, and toiletries to the homebound.

Our church has an ongoing food drive to stock the shelves at C.U.P.  Crainville Baptist Church feels service to the community and providing for those in need is a necessary outreach and command from God.

"In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” Acts 20:35
