  • In person worship services resume

The Board of Deacons, with the new restrictions for Area 5 of Illinois, have concluded that it’s time to again open the church for in-person worship, beginning Sunday, January 31.  There will be two worships the first starting at 9 am and the second starting at 11 am.  Jr. Church will be offered at the 11 o’clock service only.   We are asking that those who would qualify themselves as “at risk” would please come to the first service starting at 9am. T he church will also be having Sunday School at 10 am in-between services and Youth group on Sunday nights starting at 5 pm.

Although we will keep each service under 25% capacity, social distancing, wearing masks, checking temperatures, and cleaning between services, returning to in-person worship is not without risk. As the COVID-19 virus continues to spread throughout our congregation and community; this potentially deadly virus is far from being contained. It’s therefore absolutely vital we all commit to the safety guidelines and protocol provided by the Illinois Department of Public Health to help mitigate the risks associated with COVID-19.

Your decision to return to church is just that: your decision. Please consider your health, the health of those in your household, and the potential of contributing to the further spread of this virus as you discern your readiness to return to in-person worship. For those who prefer to worship remotely from the safety of home, in-person worship service at 11 am will be recorded and shared on our church Facebook page, YouTube channel, and on our church website.

We look forward to taking the necessary precautions so that we can worship and be together again and can’t wait to be with you again soon! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Deacon or Pastor Cody.

    In His love,

    The Board of Deacons
